Satoshi and his friends are approaching Grandpa Canyon, a famous ravine renowned for its beauty. As they do, they see huge waves of people heading in the same direction, all of them wearing backpacks, carrying pickaxes and being dressed like explorers.
As Satoshi wonders what the deal with Grandpa Canyon is, he spots a familiar face in the crowd... it's his rival Shigeru! Shigeru explains that the discovery of a fossil from an extinct Pokémon led to a massive Pokémon fossil excavation boom!

It's crazy. This is one of the episodes I remember most vividly watching as a kid. I wish I were old enough to remember the moment I got into Pokemon.

ReplyDeleteThis episode was hilarious, and I especially liked the part where Satoshi and the Rocket Gang were chasing the fuse and ended up rolling down the hill and crashing at the bottom of it. Thank you for subbing this episode.

ReplyDeleteOmg... seeing this subbed is surreal in the best possible way!!! <3 Knowing and loving so many of the voice actors from other shows, and hearing the original version of episodes I've seen over and over again in English--there's nothing like it. Kids' anime is notoriously hard to find subbed, especially retro kids' anime. You out here doing god's work!
