As Satoshi and his friends journeyed onward, a huge Pokémon suddenly fell from the sky in front of them! Appearing from the cloud of dust whirled up from the impact of the fall was the mythical Pokémon Volcanion! It turns out that Volcanion, who lives in the secluded "Nebel Plateau" together with Pokémon that have been injured by humans, actually has an intense hate for all humans.
Volcanion completely ignores Satoshi and his friends and attempts to hurry away, but for some reason Satoshi ends up getting pulled along with it. Volcanion makes a run for it, and Satoshi gets pulled along. Incredibly, without either of them noticing, the two ended up linked together by a strange chain! Even though they want to get loose from this chain, it proves impossible. With no other choice, Volcanion started running off towards "Azoth Kingdom" while pulling Satoshi along with it, constantly fighting with him on the way.
Meanwhile, Cabinet Minister Jarvis from Azoth Kingdom, a city of super-ingenuity where gigantic cogwheels are constantly rotating, has obtained the ultimate invention he has been searching for for so many years. It was the artificial Pokémon Magearna, which was born in the kingdom 500 years ago but since went missing, as well as the unknown power called the "Soul Heart" said to reside inside Magearna.
As Jarvis plots to use this power to rule the kingdom, Volcanion was attempting to retrieve Magearna, who got abducted from the Nebel Plateau!
"Ain't no way I'll ever forgive the humans!"
Will Volcanion and Satoshi manage to work together and save Magearna while linked together? And what is the true power the "Soul Heart" hides? It's time for the hottest battle in Pokémon history to begin!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job...
ReplyDeleteFinally I can watch it with your fantastic sub
Wohooo \o/
ReplyDeleteThank you Sushi, Adamant and the rest of the team for your hard work!!
ReplyDeleteSo, after 3 millennia, it's finally happened!
ReplyDeleteThanks for getting this done! I'm gonna enjoy watching this movie again.
All that leaves now is the last PokeTV segment for Greninja's farewell and we can finally consider XY&Z fully complete. I figured that was gonna come out alongside this since it's so short and easy to sub, but I guess not.
So, when IS that coming?
The two specials after that have Okido Holocaster segments too that weren't on the original broadcast.
DeleteYeah, it should be coming soon enough. Doubt we'll bother with the Holocasters, they're not too interesting, and we've never subbed any of them as standalone videos before.
DeleteHey great work guys
ReplyDeleteHey great work guys
ReplyDeleteFINALLLY, gonna watch this tonight before going to sleep!
ReplyDeleteas always, GREAT job PM Team,
looking forward to your upcoming release!
Awesome!! Wonderful work as always, thanks so much for the release!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I wasn't expecting the movie so soon, thank you so much!!
ReplyDeleteGOTTA WATCH 'EM ALL!
Amazing, Thanks for the effort. It was worth the wait.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently rewatching all of XY right now, does anybody know when should I watch the movies? After which episodes?
ReplyDeleteXY Movie 1 premiered after XY36, XY Movie 2 after XY81, and XY&Z Movie 3 after XY&Z33. As long as you watch the various previews and end-of-episode segments, there's no way you won't know, they get advertised extremely heavily during these.
DeleteThank you, I've seen the previews at the end in previous seasons, but without checking the dates you don't really know when the episodes air.
DeleteThank you for all the hard work, Pocket Monsters Fansubs.
ReplyDeleteOkay this kinda explains the later releases of the running anime. Thank you for subbing the movie, been looking forward to watching it!
ReplyDeleteThank you guys.
ReplyDeleteNotic: there is some missed words in your translation of 0:50:20.03
"They may be smilin’ now, but they.">> but they what?!
Ouch, seems it got cut off by accident. The line is supposed to be "They may be smilin' now, but they have deep scars."
DeleteWe'll see about throwing up a fixed version.
Thank you.
DeleteOne more notice if you're gonna release a fixed version.. and it's about the audio. It's really not clear comparing to the other raws. Just try to hear the song through headphone to be sure.
I'm translating this movie to my language "from your subs", so is it okay to ask you for "kara script"?
I really won't waste my time on preparing a kara from zero, and i can't use your raw since the song's translation is hardsubbed.
The two releases have different audio files, as indicated in the release post. The TrueHD audio in the 1080P release should be clear.
DeleteAs for the karaoke scripts, sorry, we'd prefer to keep those private. Hope you understand.
No problem, of course i do.
DeleteOne more question about ur translation at 0:53:08.54, are you sure that he said "If you resist..."? It doesn't make sense to me ^^"
+ Isn't there anyway to contact you directly guys, like an IRC Channel?
Yes, that translation is correct. He's telling Magearna that if it resists capture, they will harm the hostages they've taken.
DeleteReplacement torrents with the above line fixed should be up now.
ReplyDeleteI found out one more thing while i'm translating, and it's the translation of "国のため".
ReplyDeleteAt 0:34:47.58, 0:34:56.97 and 0:56:31.66 you translated it to "for the sake of the kingdom", but at 0:55:02.18 you translated it to "for the sake of our country" which is the right one, right? cause "国" means "Country" while "王国" means "kingdom".
BTW, i'm here just to get sure of what i'm thinking of cause i don't understand Japanese but few words, and this is the only way i found to ask you.
Thank you again for the hard work.
You're just overthinking it, the words are pretty interchangable in these lines. The country IS a kingdom.
DeleteThis movie was such a wild emotional roller coaster ride! I remember feeling awful when I thought that Magearna had permanently lost its spirit and that Volcanion had killed itself in the explosion, and then feeling so relieved when I realized that those weren't true after all. You did a great job subbing the movie, especially with the unique and fascinating way you wrote Volcanion's subtitles. I am so looking forward to whatever work you will do in the future - I know how good it will be!
ReplyDeleteWonderful movie, thank you for the sub. I found the dark blue subtitles hard to read quickly, perhaps you would prefer to avoid those in the future.
