Pokémon the Movie XY - The Cocoon of Destruction and Diancie

Once upon a time, the "Great Destruction" took place, eradicating all life in the Kalos region.

The Great Destruction was brought upon by Yveltal, the "Destruction Pokémon" said to rob everything of life. After destroying everything, Yveltal turned into a "Cocoon of Destruction", in which form it still sleeps today.

When this Great Destruction took place, the only one rivaling Yveltal's power was Xerneas, the "Life Pokémon". Xerneas was said to bestow life to people and Pokémon.

Now, the journey to meet with these two grand legendary Pokémon of the Kalos region begins...

"Diamond Ore Country": The land where the "Jewel Pokémon" Melecie live in peace and prosperity. It is located deep underground, and no one knows its exact location. In this country, a giant diamond known as the "Sacred Diamond" can be found...

For ages, the Sacred Diamond has played the role of an important energy resource, which keeps the ore country going. The only being with the power to create this type of diamond is princess Diancie herself. However, Diancie does not yet possess this power. And... time is starting to run out.

The Sacred Diamond's lifespan is about to run out. When that happens, the beautiful ore country is going to perish!

Having encountered Satoshi and Pikachu, Diancie sets out on a journey to save her country; a journey in search of the "Life Pokémon" Xerneas, seeking its sacred power.

On their way, they get attacked by the female thief "Marilyn Flame" and the ninja thief "Ninja Riot", who seek Diancie's power to create diamonds. Diancie gets into really big trouble when the Rocket Gang gets involved as well!! However, they get saved by the mysterious father and daughter duo Algus and Miriss, who suddenly show up, and somehow manage to continue onward. And Diancie, who has lived her entire life as a princess, feels what friendship is for the very first time, growing a bit in the process...

The group continues onwards, guided by the Fairy Aura Xerneas emits, until they eventually reach the forbidden Alearth Woods, where all life was once eradicated.

Featuring Yoshiko Mita,  Koichi Yamadera, Shoko Nakagawa, Rika Adachi, Nakagawa-ke and Atsuto Uchida.

  1. Replies
    1. Hey tell me is it English Subbed? or English Dubbed?

    2. it't japan dubbed and english subbed

  2. Finally!!! Thank you soo much!! :D

  3. When does the movie fit in episode-wise? :)

    1. I typed up a big response to this, and then the website ate it when I hit preview, so I'll try and re-write a quick summary as to why this seems unlikely.

In XY41, the main cast sees Xerneas briefly, and Xerneas is not in its tree form (nor does anyone recognize it), so XY41 must be before the events of the movie. It seems unlikely that the movie happens before the summer camp is over, so it must be after XY42.

XY43 and 44 were about the gym battle with Korrina, and it is probably after these episodes since Satoshi was attempting to use the dancing strategy Tierno favored, but gave up on it partway through the battle, whereas it did not appear at all in the movie.

In XY47, Serena catches a Pancham, and in XY48, Citron catches a Luxio. Neither of these pokemon appear or are mentioned in the movie, so it is probable that these episodes are after the events of the movie.

XY45 and 46 were both filler episodes with no major plot events or advancements, so the movie can probably fit around here somewhere without much trouble, as Satoshi and co make their way towards Coumarine City.

    2. tl;dr version between XY44 and XY47 probably

    3. Well, the movies generally aren't written to take place at a very specific point in the series, so it ignoring various subplots etc that have no relevance to it is normal enough. The issue with this movie is that it premiered between XY35 and XY36 (and would have premiered between 34 and 35 had XY24 not been skipped), but it HAS to take place after XY38 due to Satoshi having his Luchabull and Hinoyakoma and Keromatsu knowing Cut, so it's pretty clear there were some scheduling issues with the TV series episodes that didn't happen until the movie was far into production. It's a it hard to place specifically for this reason.

  4. Thanks for the movie, PocketMonsters Fansub! You hard work and dedication is surely appreciated.

  5. This was a great movie! Thanks guys!

  6. Hmm. Strange. For the 720 version I downloaded for android, only the songs have english subtitles, while the rest of the dialogue are not subbed.

    1. Download with utorent, watch it with MX Player.

    2. Download with utorent, watch it with MX Player.

    3. Hmm. Still the same results. Unless there's a subtitle file, looks like I'm stuck with this.

Most appreciated for your help though.

    4. Download VLC Player for Android. There's an official version out. You'll be able to load subtitles through that.

    5. The karaoke subs are hardsubs (meaning they're hardcoded into the video), meanwhile the dialogue subs are softsubs. Are you sure your player is able to read softsubs?

    6. *sigh* No use. Even Windows Media Classics couldn't activate the dialogue subtitles.

Hmm. Softsubs. That could be why none of my mkv players can show subtitles. Should I search for some subtitle file and use that?

    7. VLC player works and loads the subs. If they aren't coming up right click, hit "Subtitle" and select the subtitle file.

The subtitles are embedded inside the .mkv file so if it's not coming up for whatever reason you may have to force it to enable.

Use VLC Player. It's the best media player out there.

    8. "Force it to enable"... I'm using an Android to play this, so...

Is there a subtitle file to download? I haven't succceeded on forcing subs to bring themselves out.

    9. VLC on android works.

When you load the video in the offical VLC player in android, there is a chat box looking icon when you load up the navigation stuff, hit that, then hit "English subtitles - [English]". It should enable by default.

If you still can't figure it out after this then there isn't much else I can do.

    10. Sadly with different experimenting with no results, I had to do what I had to do. Until there is a way to activate the embedded subs, this file will have to do.

Most appreciated everyone for your kind assistances.
