The Kalos League has at last reached its conclusion. From the semifinals and on, all matches will finally be 6-on-6 full battles. The person standing in Satoshi's way is Shota. Having lost to Shota in a prior battle, Satoshi is fully fired up. Shota also feels great joy at getting to fight Satoshi, the person he admires, at this ultimate battle stage. So in the beginning of this episode during Alan's semi-final battle, Citron mentiones that he has only used Lizardon/Charizard and Metagross in ALL of his battles. In Episode 032 however after he had defeated Trova you could see on the jumbo-screen, (you will have to pause it though) that he had used a Kamex/Blastoise and a Runpappa/Ludicolo against him. Just something weird I happened to notice.
That was an animation error. They used footage of the scoreboard from episode 33 as a base and just replaced Shota's and Tierno's portraits and Pokemon with Alan's and Trova's, but they forgot to blank out two of Tierno's Pokemon in that particular scene. As you say, it's a split second scene you have to pause the episode to see in detail, so it just slipped through the cracks. It's possible they'll correct it for reruns.
Deleteexactly my thought

Here we go. So in the beginning of this episode we see a climpse of Alan's semi-final match, during which Citron mentions that Alan had gone through all of his matches using only Lizardon (Charizard) and Metagross.
However in Episode 032 after he had defeated Trova you could see on the jumbo-screen (you'll need to pause it to see it though) that he had used Kamex (Blastoise) and Runpappa (Ludicolo) in that match aswell. Funny how all of Satoshi's companions, that supposedly watched the whole match failed to notice such vital information..
it might be error from the episode because Kamex (Blastoise) and Runpappa (Ludicolo) are Tierno pokemon... its exactly the same order... just check next episode it's the same... and you should know better about Alan as he only used Lizardon in the league so far.. and what citron said is correct as Alan has not used any other pokemons since his last battle with satoshi in episode 23 when he used Metagross until lizardon was healed..
DeleteThat was fast, thanks guys, onto part 2
ReplyDeleteThanks for all these (been bingeing through XY and XYZ recently), though there have been some bad timing instances, one example is some lines after the OP in this episode, could have done with a lead out for some lines as they're barely on screen long enough to read them.
ReplyDeleteOther than that, top notch work as always.
